It seem that Guyanese men and women don't get marry anymore. It's always a common law or living companion who go and come as they like, but very seldom a husband and wife relationship ever mention. The small percentage of men and women who are actually married, are engaged in extramarital affairs that ends up in murder and divorce. When all of this is happening, the family moral decay falls on the children who would have to grow up with single parent or without any parents at all. If this trend continues for two decades or more without any intervention, what would you think will happen to this generation and the future children of Guyana?

Here is a short story for you!

A woman early Friday morning stabbed her common-law husband to death at their home near the Kwakwani airstrip, police said.
The  man has been identified as 40-year old Anthony Perreira also known as Quinn.  Police said he was stabbed to his chest.

The gist of the story!
Folks, murder is child's play today. The woman claim she didn't mean to push a butcher knife into the man's chest, but some how the man is dead and she have no remorse about his death. He's dead and gone, another man will take his place. You see?

I am not counting suicides, beheading and murders for not giving up the punani, sweet-man, sweet-woman, jealously rage and so on. That is another episode. This is sad!
