Like me, Roy Sawh lived at Uitvlugt before he migrated to England in 1958. There he earned a reputation as a fighter against racial discrimination and as an eloquent speaker at Hyde Park. He returned to Guyana in 1973 and served as General Manager of the Co-op Complex on Regent Street. He went back to England in the 1980s and resumed his activism at Hyde Park.
