PPP using Guysuco for ethnic mobilisation - says Nagamootoo.
Nagamootoo not please the old hats who failed Guysuco.
The PPP regime is confident sugar will become sweeter again with the introduction of a new GuySuCo board? That's what Ramsammy said?
Well, who but the PPP regime made sugar bitter? Even in the PNC days, when the PPP/GAWU were champions of sugar workers, when arson in canefields was a form of protest, the sugar industry didn't descend to the level that exists now.
One PPP-appointed board after another failed to raise production and workers' morale. This new board ent different.
Each sugar worker should be given ownership of part of the company's land. That way they would get something before creditors come after the company in foreign courts.
Y is Nagamoottoo appauled by the begging bowl mentality. His mentor CBJ was a proponent of it. He went everywhere seeking debt relief and devouted very little time in wealth creation. He wasn't big on iving well. Frugal lifestyles is not a recipe for building a prosperous nation.

CBJ was in the pastures very long time, when his
party came to power, the country was heavily
indebted, seeking debt relief was the only way
to get the country moving foward.
Frugal live style was his choice, that did't
affect his vision for the development of
the country,unfortunately gone too early.

CBJ was no visionary history demonstrates quite the contrary. He was a major supporter of Burnham's efforts to nationalize private industry which has led Guyana down a path of economic ruin and destruction.
Jagan also supported the Burnham 1980 constitution. Many PPP soupies have a difficult time reconciling these facts. But they are just that facts.

Redux, history have taught us all the challenges of third
world countries,in Guyana political situation the people
need to look in future both the PPP and PNC find comfort
in the 1980 constitution, this is the reason Guyana need
a strong third party to force them in to changing some
of the clauses.
Both had some questionable character, most of us
born in 1950's experienced the diffilculties.
I totaly agree idolize the two will not get us
any where.
Guyanese should hold a referendum on whether they want Guyana to be part of the United States, become another state of the US. I think this may be a good thing.
I know we have Region 11 in the USA, but I doan think Americans would want us. Look , u c how that fat gurl buse down the ambassador and the putagee woman urging her on. When dem finished wid dem mischief, dem walk out ah de man house like bad wimen.
I hope the company is not sold to one or several of those large private foreign sugar companies but it looks like that is the way it is heading eventually. The AFC or the PNC has not said anything on this issue. If they are in power would they try to sell the company?
