Dear Editor,
Recently there was much outrage over Trump’s statement on how Haiti is a s-hole country. What was even more amusing is the amount of people who were outraged by this statement. Right away, I realised a lot of mad people are living out of Guyana (probably they are some Guyanese ancestry in them).
Trump is very much correct in saying that Haiti is a s-hole country.
People are having a hard time understanding what is a s-hole country, they think they are living in a paradise. Here are a few things to consider before deciding whether your country is s-hole or not:
When people leave high school, university etc there are no jobs. When you have to open an egg ball stall after completing your degree, you are living in a s-hole.
When the government is corrupted, you are living in a s-hole country.
When the Police Force is not able to control the crime situation in your country then your country is s-hole.
When over 80% of the population is living below the poverty line, then you are living in a s-hole.
When your country has the highest number of orphans in the world, you are living in a s-hole.
When cock fighting is one of the most common sports (which is extremely cruel to animals), you are living in a s-hole country.
When 40% of your children are suffering from starvation, you are living in a s-hole.
When less than half the population has access to toilets and clean running water, you are living in a s-hole.
When your country is known for its high AIDS infected population, you are living in a s-hole.
When many persons are migrating illegally, then you are living in a s-hole.
When over 200,000 children in your country are living as slaves, you are living in a s-hole.
There are many more things that make Haiti a s-hole country, if you use google you will see. Haiti is not a paradise and we must be bold enough to speak the truth. Haiti is a s-hole and Guyana is a madhouse. If anybody says that, then that person should be honoured for speaking the truth.
