Happy Diwali GNI.

Happy Diwali to all who celebrate this auspicious occasion on the Hindu calendar. I know from experience that Guyanese do share each other culture and take part in lighting lamps on Diwali night. So, the blessings of Diwali is to be shared among all of you and your family.

Friday the 13th.

It's a coincidence that Diwali falls on the same day as Friday the 13th, the most superstitious day known to us. Guyanese came from a country of superstitions, the Bacco Legend, brought to America by superstition believers.

In Ontario, Canada, we are celebrating on Saturday November 10th.

Most are urged to celebrate at home and avoid obey Covid19 restrictions.
