Happy celebrations to those who celebrate.

Mits, while in Kirkland Lake,I went into a convenience store owned by Indians and I got a can of Jamin (sp) I pictured the Jamoon we knew from Guyana, except this was a kind of small dough ball soaked in honey and rose water. Banna, I placed a couple in my mouth and chomped down..holyyyyy shheeetttt! A burst of sheer sweet happened, my hair stood up on its end. I ain't trying that again. Perhaps I should have squeezed the water out of it before chomping down.

I think you are talking about Gulab Jamun. It's very sweet and made with khoya (curd) soaked in syrup.

Don't eat it all at once. Take small bites. Nevertheless that stuff may give you diabetes.

Diabetes is caused not only by eating sweets but there are many many factors which lead to this dreadful disease. Eating one gulab jamun a day would not cause even 1% of harm as much as a chocolate amounting of same weight will cause.
