He did nothing to me. I know I am smart and lived long enough, schooled enough formally by truly smart people in  the sciences and in society to affirm that. He claiming he is smart would or should  have been similarly affirmed. It is in the claiming that you are smart with no productions to illustrate it where the unease comes in.

Defending the obscenity that is the APNU protest against being booted is not smart. Being smart means you are equipped with the means to end schema that brings about a flouring of human excellence. This is plainly shysterism, innumeracy and hypocrisy rolled into one turd-cake.
