This story is developing and will be updated.

Joseph Harmon is no longer the Director General of Ministry of the Presidency.

A source confirmed the development to Stabroek News and this newspaper understands that an announcement of his removal is due to be made shortly.

His removal has come a day after it was announced that President David Granger had made him the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Task Force (NCTF).

When he was contacted by this newspaper on Friday on whether the new appointment meant he would be leaving the ministry, Harmon said no.

Harmon, who is the co-chair of the APNU+AFC 2020 elections campaign, is one of four government ministers who had been forced to resign after the local courts ruled that dual citizens could not be Members of Parliament.

Considering the issues with the elections and the public, yuh think Granger would be more transparent in his decrees. He juss announce, like the King and his Kingdom.

Ok so you said the man does announce his decrees, how much more transparent should he be, you want him do it twice? Please doan say things should be done by a vote because you know the outcome when it got to do with voting.
