This ruling is unenforceable! What can the Chief Justice do to enforce it?
If the Opposition has any balls they would defy it as an unconstitutional interference in the internal procedural affairs of the legislature

You cannot enforce a judicial Order in the British Commonwealth on a parliament regarding how it chooses to regulate its procedures and/or discipline its members
Whatâs the oppositionâs next move? |

ACTING Chief Justice Ian Chang has ruled that the political oppositionâs motion to gag Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee in the National Assembly is unconstitutional. |
My Friends, there is No Confidence of a government, but not of a Minister, then the ruling party can bring any one off the street to replace that Minister and present a motion, remember the Minister was elected by the people and not Parliment. This is all a stalling tactic by the opposition parties. LET IT BE KNOWN THERE WILL BE AN EARLY ELECTION AND THE PPP WILL WIN BIG.

If the PPP wants early elections, why don't they just call them? That's a presidential prerogative!
In the event of any snap elections, the Guyanese populace will endorse the PPP/C with a majority, thus ensuring progress continues

This is what happens when Mudheads own a dictionary
Minister Rohee now gets the green light to go ahead and present security bills in the National Assembly, that will be of benefit to all Guyanese
Bhai, They are beyonn STUPID. Guyanese are not stupid and will NEVER allow such FOOLS into the halls of POWER.
they did...ROhee is there..aint he
joker, it is the opposition parties to call a vote of no confidence on the government, thus there will cause an election, but what? they fear an election, they cannot accept defeat. AN ELECTION WILL BE IN EIGHT MONTHS!!!

My Dear Kenny,
Either Parliament or the President may order new elections. If Ramotar got de cajones then go for it.
Or is he afraid he won't be renominated. Plus he has a little problem vis a vis the Constitution. He can only be elected in two elections
you know whah duh mean? If he doesn't serve out the full 5 years of his term then that's his problem. He only can only be re-elected at one single election after 2011.
A majority awaits the PPP/C, in the event of any snap elections
Oi Counsie, how much $$$ you made by posting that drivel?
When you post the same thing constantly, are you paid the same or does the price drop a bit because you really not using any brain matter, just doing robotic moves.
Attorney General Anil Nandlall and Speaker of the national Assembly Raphael Trotman are in a ding dong battle over correctly interpret the ruling by Chief Justice (ag) Ian Chang, regarding the gag order on Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee last Friday.
Trotman told a news conference on Tuesday that the Attorney General misled the Chief Justice in his submission and made him to believe that Rohee could not speak at all in the National Assembly.
âThe submission if the learning Attorney General has sought to convince the Chief Justice that minister Rohee was prevented from presenting any bills, motions or making any other presentations to the house, this is a blatant untruthâ trotman said.
He also accused nandlall of misrepresenting the CJâs ruling.
But Nandlall in response accused both Trotman and the opposition of playing politics with the ruling and deliberately trying to misrepresent was contained in the ruling.
âWhy that is being misunderstood, why that is being complicated, why that is found to be incomprehensible is befuddling, the opposition the APNU has plucked out conveniently statements from the Chief Justiceâs ruling that would tend to support their political positionâ Nandlall was quoted as saying on State TV.
He also claimed that Trotman was misrepresenting the Rohee issue in the high court.
He noted that Trotmanâs lawyers, namely Khemraj Ramjattan, Nigel Hughes and Roysdale Forde were granted leave on several occasions to file affidavits for or on behalf of the Trotman in relations to contentions advanced âthey did not file any affidavit, that affidavit would have given them the opportunity to take issue with any matter that they claim consists of a misrepresentation.â
Chang Friday Last ruled that minister Rohee must be able to speak in the parliament as an elected representative of his constituencies, a decision the opposition said it will not abide with.
Trotman has already signaled his intentions to appeal the high Court ruling.
There is a clear precedence set here by OH Nandalala. He is comfortable with living in a world of untruth.
He is the first person the misinterpret the Chief Justice ruling and spread those untruth.
