Of the 25 countries listed, 6 are from the English-speaking Caribbean with the following killings per 100,000 population:
[1] Jamaica = 39.3
[2] Saint Kitts and Nevis = 33.6
[3] The Bahamas = 29.8
[4] Trinidad and Tobago = 28.3
[5] Saint Lucia = 21.6
[6] Dominica = 21.1
Guyana is notably out of the top 25. Still, that is no consolation to the families of Guyanese who lose their loved ones unexpectedly and shockingly. I take into account the fact that some Guyanese are murdered by their own family or friends, but that is minimal compared to the overall murder rate.
Not sure where you are getting these figures but I am sure it does not include the current rates for this year. I am sure it would put Guyana on top of the list.

Fool, why don't you click on the source posted here before you post your nonsense?

These statistics are woefully flawed since many nations so not submit proper data or under report their data. Local calculations have our murder rate at between 18 to 25 per 100k on average.

What I posted is an abstract from the source at top of thread.

Ahmm, so Mr know it al knows it al, even official sources are wrong. Only Storm knows.
These numbers are most likely not reliable. Central America...Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala have the highest rates...Jamaica is far behind. In any case...Jamaica has its problems but I never feel insecure there. At least my name is not on Roheesque surveillance list and nobody there ever tried to firebomb my family and I. I hope this list is abandoned in Guyana by now...because my pen will speak when I go there again soon.

Yea yea, we know, you got better numbers, rite?
