We have a black, now a woman, next might be a Guyanese president of the United States.

Who knows! All things are possible!

It is time there is a strong woman, a woman of worth in the WH!

Separately, There is something circulating on FB that supposedly quotes Castro saying in 1973 something like: the US will come to talk with Cuba when a black man is President of the US and a Latin American is Pope. I haven't bothered to check whether it is an actual Castro utterance. But is it interesting, isn't it? Food for thought!

You might have noticed the first Liberal budget in Canada today, also favours women and children. The new  Prime Minister of Canada has small children, that might have influenced this change.

The 1960s created a lot of change for women in Canada. When  our constitution  was repatriated from England in 1982, a number of my women friends in Toronto and Montreal, were instrumental in seeing women rights, to be included in our parliamentary adopted constitution. My friend  said, this effort started on a kitchen table by three women, that grew to 100 women/men  and a film was made about their efforts.

One big change was children support by separated fathers. The wife no longed had to go to court, but income tax filed by the father, determine the amount he has to pay for each child, that is enforced by the government.

Pity the prospects of a black president in Cuba is a total impossibility.  Castro is a racist of the Jagdeo variety.

I have that image on my FB page

The GOP are in a trap of their own making.  Since Barry Goldwater they have engaged in anti black bigotry, now extended to anti (non white) immigrant, and finally to Muslims of all origins.  They say so in code language.

Now Trump blasts it in the open, so they fear that Trump will terrify white suburbanites, who never want to be linked to such open bigotry.  This so they can peddle the nonsense that the USA is "color blind" and that it is post racial.

Cruz is Christian Taliban, who will terrify even more people.

Together these lunatics account for 70%+ of the GOP vote, so these folks will be mad if some milk toast GOP "moderate" is chosen instead.  This is why Ryan screams " I am not in that!".

So Hillary, a weak candidate should win, unless she snatches defeat from the mouth of victory.  That isn't impossible.
