Mr. Anand Goolsarran former Auditor-General is today parading as a guardian of transparency and accountability in Guyana, when he kept silent during Guyana’s worst years of economic mismanagement and unaccountability.

He said nothing, absolutely nothing during the PNC regime’s mass destruction of the country’s finances. He was not allowed to audit Government’s spending and sat at the Auditor-General’s office with not much to do.

Before 1992, no accounts were handed over to the Parliament to show how taxpayer’s monies were being spent. Without shame, Goolsarran now masquerades with all sorts of commentaries that are biased against audited financial reports during the PPP/C governance.
