Former PPP MP’s home searched for drugs.

By Devina Samaroo, Aug 5, 2017

The home of a longstanding member of the People’s Progressive Party was yesterday searched by the police for drugs.

Shirley Edwards, a former Member of Parliament (MP), was reportedly visited by armed ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) who were acting on information about activities involving illegal drugs taking place on the premises at Lodge.

PPP Executive Member Gail Teixeira confirmed that the incident occurred and she dubbed it as another example of harassment being executed by the government against the PPP.

DICTATORSHIP BUNHAM STYLE. Well, the GADAHA is a product of Bunham. And the Namakaram Crabdaag was beaten into accepting as normal the brutality and incompetence of the PNC. A dog who like to suck egg will forever to so. No where in the world you will find such a low life Parasite!!!

Shirley's house on Princess Street used to be a target of police search during the pre-1992 PNC regime. At that time the cops used to look for guns and ammo.

For those of you who voted with the intent of having a better government this is may have come as a surprise to you - resorting to the old Burnhamist tactic of constant harassment of those opposed to the government. From what I'm seeing and hearing the AFC has lost control of the PNC. Their promise of change remains a promise.

Was any Guns found then and any drugs now?/ Anyone can answer.

No drugs were found at her home during the recent search.  Except the usual Tylenol, Ferrol, and things like dat.

No guns were found to the best of my knowledge. Searches of PPP militants' homes were common pre-1992. Particularly GAWU activists' homes, PPP parliamentarians' homes and cars.
