The Corrupt PPP/C has nothing to offer Guyanese, all people can hear of is corruptions and bribery, the PPP/C has become like a parasite, that no one wants to associate with.

The PPP and the PNC are by far the two dominant political parties in Guyana by most measures:

1. Track record at the polls
2. Organization
3. Finance

The AFC is clearly a superior party from an ideas and visionary standpoint. The hurdles they face, in addition to the Organization and finance factors (which they can make up) is the built-in fear factor of one ethnic group for the other. The only makeup factor is demographics.

The PNC gained office in 1964 due to the change from first-past-the-post to Proportional Representation, and by a coalition with the UF.

The 1968 Elections was rigged, and the rest of the PNC terms were rigged. So you have to say they had 24 years of rule due to rigged elections (1968 - 1992).

Dictators do much more than how the Oligarchic PNC leaders ruled.

In 1964 when the PNC got in government there were 305,920 East Indians in Guyana, comprising 47.8 percent of the population.

In 1991 when the PNC spent its last full year in government there were 351,939 East Indians in Guyana, comprising 48.6 percent of the population. [SOURCE: UN DEMOGRAPHIC YEARBOOKS]

These numbers show that the East Indian population increased, despite deaths and migration, during the PNC regime.
