A long time ago, there was a book titled "Islam, The Misunderstood Religion". At the time I read it, my opinion was that Islam was not misunderstood but rather misrepresented. By non-Muslims. Unfortunately, today, the immediate threat is that it is misrepresented by Muslims. Deedat and other Muslim scholars had made great strides in explaining Islam to others and it was not looking as bad as previously thought. Than came 9-11 and all hell broke loose. Since then it seem like a different crazy Muslim is trying to make the headlines each day. All this has done is put Muslims on their heels while making non-Muslims very suspicious of us. Thanks to our dear Muslim brethren who chose the sword instead of the pen when our dear leader, Muhammad taught us that the pen is mightier than the sword. So I guess shit happens. Hard to blame others for not giving a shit about us.

You know what they say about making your bed and sleeping on it.

My advise to you would be to be yourself and live the life YOU see as just and humane.

Although all the good law abiding Muslims did not make their bed hard but I do understand why they are paying for their brethren's hard bed making. Most Muslims live just and humane lives. There is a reference to Muhammad teaching about preserving the ecology way back then. Muslims have the good tools but we also have the crazies.

I know of many, many such Muslims who I grew up with and still have the same relationships. I think sometimes we have to look at the smaller picture and not at the larger. People will always have negative comments about all religions. We must not let the minority detractors cause us to let our guards down and become who we are not. God bless.

Good point. And God bless to you also. Here is a nice selection. One of my favorites.

Thank you. Hari Om Sharan has one of the sweetest voice.  Sometimes I want to kick myself for not knowing Hindi but I still enjoy the Music.

How how come the world is not in an uproar?  Oops, I forgot...is Abdul and Mustapha getting it.

The Chinese are attacking buddhists and Christians as well.

Are Abdul and Mustapha Sunnie or Shia?
