The 2020 Guyanese election is perhaps the longest electoral process in the 50 years since the nation became a Republic. We dare say, it is one of the longest any democracy has seen, especially one with just about half a million voters. It certainly is one of the most notorious elections process the nation has ever witnessed. No one could believe that with modern technology and live broadcasts anyone would attempt to rig the elections. But the country was in for a very ugly surprise.
