Three reporters of the Guyana Times/Television Guyana(TVG) Channel 28, resigned with immediate effect citing the fear of being targeted over a news story in which Kaieteur News Publisher Glen Lall is the subject. Leaked US Embassy Cables released by Wikileaks had described Lall as having his fingers firmly on the pulse of Guyana's criminal underworld and it is this fear which saw one of the reporters in question refusing to read the particular story in question. Her other two colleagues also tendered their resignation and there are reports by some members of the TVG Channel 28 staff that they are being trailed by suspicious vehicles and followed by unknown individuals.

My God, it seems that the Lall is a dangerous figure. The AFC tried to spin this story in a different manner in defence of Lall. Shame on the AFC.

In the first place TV reporters are not supposed to be intimidated with fear of anything or anyone. They should learn how investigating and war journalists would risk their lives to get a story in danger zones around the world. Is this another personal war with KN vs Guyana Times?

Guyana needs Uncle Gaj to deal with some of these Thugs who are trying to intimidate reporters by following them in Vehicles.
