but am even more happy that I am Guyanese.
Today I made a pot of cook-up rice, dhall (not dholl   , rice, chowmein and to show our natural flair for fusion; pasta with sundried Tomato and Pesto – this is Guyana the Guyana I left as a child despite everything else. My family also reflects that fusion in ethnicity.
I am thankful my fore parents went to Guyana – a melting pot
