I don’t get it! What is intended by the delay?
On the 3rd and 4th of March 2020, regions 1 to 9 were tabulated and the statements of poll were given to all of the political parties contesting the elections and members of all of the International observer groups. The district statement of polls [District SOP’s] are a compilation, by each of the 10 districts of the actual count done on the evening of March 2nd , poll booth by poll booth throughout the district or Region and witnessed by members of the political parties contesting and the International Observers. This is the cell phone age and so by 3 or 4 AM on March 3rd one day after the election the Political Party with which I am associated, had in its possession enough statements of poll from each polling district, to know that they had won the election.
I remembering seeing Mr. Timothy Jonas the Presidential Candidate for one of the smaller parties summing it up this way, the PPP won Regions 1 to 9 by 51,000 or 52,000 votes, and using the 2015 official results from region 4 SOPs the APNU/AFC had won region 4 by a majority of around 40,000 - 41,000 votes in 2015, so if the PPP were leading by over 50,000 votes in 1-9 and historically the APNU/AFC can only win District/Region 4 by 40,000 votes, then as far as he was concerned the PPP were the winners. And he was close, even at that early stage.
When the recount of region 4 started on the evening of the 2nd March, Ringo and Lowfield must have become aware of the ground lost by the AFC, I am dropping all pretense that the APNU, or the PNC can win an election on their own, they could not do it without the United Force in 1964 and they could not do it in 2015 without a third force like the AFC supporting them, but the AFC as a political force, died from self-inflicted wounds after their woeful performance with the APNU in the period 2015 to 2019. They lost much of their Indian and their Amerindian support, they lost for numerous reasons, but the three most important ones were their inability to negotiate a proper deal with EXXON for Guyana, what I call the Trotman shuffle, a survey conducted by Visnu Bisran published by Kaieteur News on Feb. 4th 2020 disclosed that “People are very concerned about the contract signed with, and the oil finds of EXXON. They are following the news reports on EXXON. They are not seeing much benefits from the finds” the increased taxation imposed by the Collation was also a very heavy burden to carry to an electorate in an already very poor country. The closure of the Sugar Estates and the persecution of the business community, which is seen as predominately Indo Guyanese guaranteed that all the support they previously got from the Indo Guyanese community, was gone.
So on the evening of March 2 and the early hours of March 3, it became clear to GECOM that the APNU/AFC could not win the election by natural phenomena so they had to create abnormal phenomena i.e. to rig it. So Ringo collapsed or pretended to collapse, to execute his and Lowfield PLAN B, which was to rig the Region 4 numbers to show an overall win by the APNU/AFC. They did not care how ridiculous all of it was going to look to the International Community, they had one objective, swear in Granger quickly with a flawed process, and any objections which surfaced after, will have to be resolved by an election petition which could take months or even years. Actually, I have this suspicion that it was Granger who refused to be sworn, in the face of the US state department threats of sanctions. That’s what they did not anticipate in their Coup D’état! They did not expect the prompt and venomous reaction by the international community “A president sworn in on the basis of those results will not be considered legitimate,” the American, Canadian, British and European Union observers stated on Friday 6th March in a joint release. Supported thereafter by direct threats from the White House itself in Washington by the Secretary of State of the United States. It could not have been cleared that this was being taken very seriously indeed by the USA. I saw a post from James Bond saying that the Americans cannot be serious about sanctions, if they were serious, they would have called our US Ambassador Insanalli and issue the warning to him, well the NEXT DAY they called Insanally and issued the threat of sanctions, this fact cannot have escaped their attention here. This matter is front and center with the US Administration.
We have 10 Regions/Districts and I have reproduced below a recap of what the GECOM website tell us happened in 2020 and 2015.
I will not attempt to fill the numbers of other parties, spoilt votes etc etc it is APNU/AFC and PPP/C in face off in 2020 and compared to 2015. To see who gained and who lost support between 2015 and 2020 bearing in mind the very dismal showing of the APNU and AFC in the regional elections in 2018..
Region 1: APNU/AFC- 2020- 3,905 Votes… 2015 – 2,788 votes.
PPP/C- 2020 – 8,022 Votes – 2015 - 6,278 votes
Region 2: APNU/AFC - 2020 – 7,343 Votes - 2105 – 7,306 Votes.
PPP/C - 2020 - 18,788 Votes – 2015 – 16,045 Votes
Region 3: APNU/AFC - 2020 – 23,811 votes – 2015 -- 20,913 Votes
PPP/C - 2020 -- 47,855 Votes – 2015- 40,480 Votes
Region 4: APNU/AFC- 2020 -- 136,057 Votes -- 2015 - 113,856 Votes

PPP/C - 152,280 Votes. i.e. 51,409 votes
in District 4 in 2015: The APNU/AFC got 113,856 Votes and the PPP/C got 70,203 Votes i.e. 43,653 Votes.
But according to the Region/District 4 SOP which I have seen, and which are in the possession of the PPP and all the smaller parties and the international community, the region 4 result was APNU/AFC 116,770 and the PPP 80,525 a total votes cast of 201,800, i.e. they did worse than in 2015, not the nonsense published by Ringo. And interestingly the statement of poll for region 4 posted by GECOM does not contain the signature of Vulga Lawerence, they have sanitized that. This alone is a serious transgression, showing that GECOM is prepared to do anything to carry out the coup D’état. And cannot be trusted.
But based on this result obtained by counting the individual 879 polling stations in Region/district 4, the election result was 152,280 [regions 1-9] + 80,525 Region 4 = 232,805 Votes PPP. And 100,871 [regions 1-9] + 113856 region 4 = 214,727 votes APNU/AFC.
If any recount/Audit brings up any other numbers in regions 1-9 there will be hell to pay in this country. These numbers I have quoted above are the actual returns on the GECOM website today, as to how the votes from Regions 1-9 were counted and collated that is a matter for the election petition by APNU/AFC, GECOM has no option but to declare the winner by simply counting region 4! These people have proved to be totally unreliable and have in fact committed treason against the people of this country, and the time for *****footing around the facts are done..
The fact that in a letter to Clairmont Mingo, returning officer of region/district 4 of GECOM, dated 12th March 2020, the European Union delegation led by deputy Mr. Alexander Marcus stated that according to section 4 (1) and (3) of the Guyana Election Observer Act, as well as section 6, 7, 8 and 9, of the Administrative Arrangement between the EU and Guyana, they are requesting to examine the SOPs of Region/District 4, on which he had based his now notorious spreadsheet. I did not even know that there are laws in this country which govern how the international observers will expect to be treated. This raises the matter from a local issue of observers perhaps interfering in our sovereignty as alleged by some, to an international faux pas of epic proportions. Almost as bad as threatening to withdraw their diplomatic accreditation, especially since there is no evidence that GECOM or Ringo has complied with their request. This keeps getting worse and worse.
