Jagdeo was in Soviet Union liming when Moses and others were taking the fight to Lumumna, Burnham, Joe hamilton, Kit Nacimento, etc. Jagdeo always had it cushy. He did more harm to Guyana than good. Drugs and social degeneracy took over under his rule. Ramotar spent years editing a communist papers. He came back to Guyana in 1988 in the better Hoyte years. He messed up Guysuco and has the Guyanese holding a US$200 mill loan for a white elephant factory. So neither did anything NET positive for Guyana.
