Workers of Indian call centres have been caught selling by email personal data including bank account numbers, credit card numbers, mortgage data for the price of some cents.

Those who have paid for the information are believed to include criminal organizations who specialize in fraud and counterfeiting.

It has been revealed that the crimes have not been prosecuted because the affected firms didn't want bad publicity. The list of affected firms includes Halifax, Lloyds, TSB, Amex among others..
