Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Communications Network (NCN), Molly Hassan, has tendered her resignation from the post.

NCN's Chief Executive Officer, Molly Hassan

NCN’s Chief Executive Officer, Molly Hassan

When contacted by INews earlier today, Hassan confirmed that she has resigned as NCN CEO and has given the requisite notice as per her contract.
Speculation has been rife that Hassan would have been asked to resign by the eight-month-old APNU/AFC government. Since the administration took office in May, a large number of persons not only in the State Media but across the spectrum of the Public Service and governmental agencies have lost their jobs – either sent on leave, forced to resign or dismissed.
And while Hassan has indicated that her resignation was voluntary, there are indications that this may be far from the truth.
There are reports also that NCN’s Human Resource Manager, Daren Khan, may be sent packing. Hassan, however, said she is not aware of this. INews will keep you posted as more information becomes available.

The poor woman resigned before she was asked to pack up and get the hell out where she doesn't belong.

Molly Hassan poor? Look here:

THE Chief Executive of NCN, Molly Hassan, takes home close to $1 million, but her management of state-owned radio and TV network puts her on slippery ground with the new board. The new administration has expressed dissatisfaction with the state of NCN, and now some members of the new board are said to be extremely disappointed with Hassan’s management. This leaves Hassan’s further role at the entity hanging in the balance. Sources at NCN revealed that Hassan’s pay package is as follows:

Basic Salary: $707,347
Duty Allowance $25,000
Entertainment Allowance $25,000
Security Allowance $30,000
Housing Allowance $50,000
Landline Telephone fully paid, on average $5,000
Cell phone bill fully paid average $25,000
DSL Services for her home $9,980.
Fridge allowance for the office $10,000.
Tea Items for herself average $5,000

Vehicle and a Driver.
Gratuity every six months 22.5%

Mr. Gilbakka, her salary is peanuts with the cost of living in Guyana. I am sure she has family and mouth to feed. She have to look for work while someone else with less qualification will get her job. All new managements have one thing in common to let go of all Indians and replace them with the regime loyalists. This is not a coincident, sir. This had been happening since the coalition took office. BTW, I never see these vacancies ever advertised in any newspaper in Guyana. Why?

Another opening for a Blackman PNC card holder. This is ETHNIC cleansing, then they are pushing Moses to talk UNITY.

I challenge Gil to post a detailed list of what it cost taxpayers to keep the useless Moses in his current position.

What exactly would be the necessary qualifications for this kind of job? I assume a background in media study.

Who are the members on the NCN board?

Come on, Vish. That info is available on the Internet. As my pal D_G usually says, do your own research.

Someone needs to keep a tab of how many Indians were forced to resign or fired...thank god excel permits 65,000 lines

I wonder why you didn't do the same when the PPP ethnically cleansed blacks out of top positions in the state controlled sector, leaving them with the same mid to low level civil servant jobs that blacks have held since the late 19th C.

If APNU is ethnically cleansing Indians, then they do no different from what the PPP did in 1992, and even more when Jagdeo took over.

If you cannot take bitter medicine then don't dish it out.  Also don't prove right those who claim that Indians are clannish. You didn't care the slightest when blacks were squeezed out by the PPP, and now scream foul only because it is allegedly happening to Indians.

So what if people now have to exchange a PPP card for a PNC one.
