What kind of unity government is this? The PPP and 50% voters are crying for justice in Port Maurant and Granger is having a ball with his own kind at the National Stadium. Essiquibo is flooded, people are being killed senseless, and narcotic is being shipped through the vagina canal. Granger want to cut short the Rodney inquiry. The media men are being set up and robbed, while he release 60 convicts back on the street. Nice way to start running a country. I have no-confidence in Granger.

The Indians could not get there because of lack of transport, and because if they leave their homes unattended the PPP bandits would rob the place dry. Remember how the PPP had to bus around the same people to numerous meetings all over the country? Remember how they had to be paid to attend?

Mr T: This is a rabidly anti-PPP and anti-Indian statement. If its a unity government it should make arrangement to get Indians there. Where is the 12% that Ramjattan and Moses could pull from the Indian constituency?

Such arrant nonsense.  So blacks shouild pay to get there while Indos get a free ride.

Then you want to know why people think what they think of PPP Indians.  Why do they insist that they are so special?

This is a voluntary event.  If Indos didnt want to go, that was their choice.

Well I have expressed the opinion that few Indians voted for the coalition.  Take that argument up with Kari, TK or others who think otherwise.

PPP needs to stop whining and get on with the business of being an intelligent, decent and credible opposition.

The PPP refused to attend the Independence Day celebrations, so why will they want to be in a unity gov't?  They do not even consider this government to be legitimate.

My goodness if they were there and Hammie received the OR, they would a get a stroke.

Unity government-I doan think Granger really serious about the offer.

And the PPP have not changed in 65 years. they love to be confrontational. They failed as a government in every area. And yet, they want to govern. Smart and progressive people cannot be held back by the majority of fools.

As for President Granger, the gentleman seems to be confused. He talks about doing good for Guyana, but yet have returned to the PNC days and make Hammie relevant. He made the most Progressive leader in PNC-Desmond Hugh Hoyte look stupid. Granger disrespected talent and praised the criminality of the PNC. I am going to write a prayer every Sunday for him. The devil seems to be getting close to him. The good gentleman loved to quote Ephesians 6;12. He should be reminded to read the whole of Ephesians-the dark powers seems to be giving bad counsel.

As for the indoes in the 202,000 voters, R u muddah suh flipping stupid taht alyuh teking burden of those PPP CREEEPs.

He didnt say "abee day".  He said "ahwe day".  Quote correctly.

May 26, 1964 was "ahwe day" as well in Wismar/Christainburg when Afro Guyanese raped, murdered and burned the homes od Indians. Wasn't that the reason for Burnham suggesting to the British Government that Independence Day should be May 26th to remind Indo-Guyanese how they "ahwe" brutalized, men, women and little girls? Even East Indians do not know their history.

The way the Rev sees it--elections are over--87% of the PNC/AFC votes were Blacks and Mixed---those folks have every reason to celebrate and be overjoyed.

* When the Rev looks at that crowd he sees happy Guyanese---that's the way it should be for the next 5 years---we should all be color blind----in 2020 we can start seeing colors again.

Don, I read this accusation before and tried to verify it but couldn't. Burnham had no say in the Colonial Office's decision to let go of Guyana on May 26, 1966. If you can provide the relevant historical record to show that Burnham picked May 26, I shall be indebted to you.
