Just 2 years ago, 342,126 Guyanese voted in the 2011 election---they paid heed to the campaign speeches and ads made by all the parties.
Screeeechhh - the opposition APNU in particular had a very limited access to the people via advertising and their campaign was severely constrained. This is something that will be significantly changed in any new election. APNU throughout the past year has been campaigning vigorously on the ground and recruiting persons.
This is why to some it is no surprise that AFC had defectors fleeing to APNU. APNU has been doing a lot of work on the ground and it has not gone unnoticed.
