IT Recruiter needed for Hospital

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operates with a high sense of urgency to source, interview, and select applicants for technical positions within the IT department. Evaluate work experience and education requirements for job vacancies.
  • Supervise pre-employment testing procedures for new applicants, and assists in determining which tests to administer.
  • Inform applicants of job duties and specifications, benefits overview and pertinent Hospital polices.
  • Establish and maintain consultative relationships with hiring managers to understand business needs and priorities to help build an effective recruiting strategy for the IT department. Goes the extra step to please clients and candidates. 
  • Refer qualified applicants to departments for interview and final approval. Ensure that references are checked and pre-employment physical and Sterling Background check are completed prior to applicant’s employment.  Follow up with Dept. Heads regarding new hire start dates and orientation schedules.
  • Verify licenses and certifications are required by NYS Regulatory Agencies. Ensures that all Nursing Home regulations are followed relating to new hires.
  • Oversee the placement of Temporary Staffing for departments as needed and monitors monthly bills for same.
  • Generate monthly reports i.e. JSF, JCR and Nursing Home compliance reports and other reports deemed necessary for efficient employment activity.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with schools and agencies as outreach activities for recruitment. Utilizes the internet and other websites (including BHMC), as a form of recruitment.
  • Oversee the posting of vacancies and follows up on internal transfers and union referrals. Follows the protocol mandated by NYS Regulatory Agency.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

 

Education:

  • BA/BS Degree in Human Resource, Social Science, Business, and/or Hospital Administration.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible related experience in a Recruiting, or Human Resource Generalist role.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years Technical IT Recruitment experience.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
