Suspected narco sub found at Morawhanna

A suspected narco submarine was found at Morawhanna in the north west of Guyana yesterday.
The vessel was empty and law enforcement officials made the discovery through a tip off, Stabroek News was told.
Law enforcement sources say the sub would likely have been used to convey drugs from Colombia to Guyana. Narco subs have been frequently used by Colombian drug mafias.

This is an alarming development. It means narcotics are shipped on a large scale to and from Guyana.
Let us see whether Rohee's police and Ramotar's coast guards will impound this submarine.

discovery of a semi-submersible vessel this week in the dense jungle of the hinterland, with President Donald Ramotar yesterday indicating it was likely to be used in the drug smuggling trade.
According to the President, the Self Propelled Semi-Submersible (SPSS) was more than likely built at the camp site in Waini River, North West District, Region One.
The vessel and camp site have been secured with investigators, including experts from outside the country.
The Head of State, during a press conference at the Office of the President yesterday afternoon, hinted that the discovery of the camp and vessel may have been because of information that filtered to local enforcement agencies from external agencies.

In Guyana, the GDF also doubles as a national guard force augmenting the civilian police in law enforcement especially in more remote areas where the civilian police may be stretched thin. So my question again, is it the job of the ministers to interdict or law enforcement.
