Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo has been since March 2021 evading every attempt to serve him with court documents in a defamation of character law suit brought against him by Deputy Chief Elections Officer Roxanne Myers.
An Attorney for Myers told GNN that in the defamatory article published in March 2020 Jagdeo called Myers’ name as one complicit in the rigging of the March 2020 Elections. He said “Now he is making every effort to rig Myers’ attempts at proving to the Court that he lied by calling her a rigger.
Another senior Attorney slammed Jagdeo as a mendacious person who makes false allegations, then abuse the court process.
He asked “why is he running from service if that’s what he is indeed doing. He is being sued. He should stop running from the Court Marshals, accept service and come to the court and prove his reckless allegations against the young lady,’ the Attorney wh is not representing Myers said.
Roxanne Myers through her Attorneys Nigel Hughes and Eusi Anderson Esq. has asked the High Court to order substituted service on Jagdeo by way of publication in the newspapers.
Roxanne Myers has attempted with a Marshal of Court to serve Jagdeo five times at his Sparendaam, Pradoville ECD home and his Ministry of the Presidency office.
Each time Jagdeo has refused to come out to accept service or asked one of his staff to say he is unavailable. Each failure of service is a further delay in Myers’ pursuit of justice and an obstruction of the course of justice.
Meanwhile, Former Minister of Health Leslie Ramsammy is also evading service of Court documents. Court observers said it appears to be a tactic adopted by the PPP, having made false allegations about elections rigging to get into office.
Leslie Ramsammy has since March 2021 been evading every attempt at service of a defamation of character suit brought against him by veteran journalist and former CEO of NCN, Enrico Woolford.
In the defamatory article published in March 2020 Ramsammy called Enrico Woolford a ‘rigger’ of the March 2020 election. Now he is making every effort to rig Woolford’s attempts at proving to the Court that he lied by calling Woolford a rigger.
Woolford through his Attorney at Law Eusi Anderson Esq. has asked the High Court to order substituted service on Ramsammy by way of publication in the newspapers.
Woolford also has attempted, with a Marshal of Court, to serve Ramsammy no less than 4 times at his home and his office.
Each time Ramsammy has refused to come out to accept service or asked one of his staff to say he is unavailable. Each failure of service is a further delay in Woolford’s pursuit of justice.
Apparently the PPP senior officials made allegations of rigging in the March 2, 2021 elections but cannot prove their allegations in court. This is an obvious embarrassment for the PPP regime and the four ABCE Ambassadors in Guyana who helped installed the PPP in government.

Apparently the PPP senior officials made allegations of rigging in the March 2, 2021 elections but cannot prove their allegations in court. This is an obvious embarrassment for the PPP regime and the four ABCE Ambassadors in Guyana who helped installed the PPP in government.

PPP/C was installed with the decision of the Guyana Election Commission - GECOM after the recount and court decisions.

ABCE Ambassadors and representatives of other organizations expressed their views on the results of the election.
