I would really like to chop it up but I don't want to mess with any of its current properties. Is there any software out there that will allow me to chop it up (If done the way I want to, the entire would be chopped up into some 1000 small clips) without messing with any of its current properties?
I think that Audacity would alter them during the save (export) function.
This is a project I started some 20 years ago but so far, I have not been very pleased with any of my efforts. I am difficult to please.
Audacity can do the job, you can select the parts label and export.
So it wouldn't change the current properties of the original audio clip? Given how much time I have spent on this project over the past 20 years, if I get nothing else done in life, I would still feel accomplished if I can satisfactorily get this project completed.
Ok ... backup the original audio clip, then do what you intend to do and export audio file of your choice. If goofed up, you still have the original copy.
I will try it and see how it comes out. Thanks.
Was it Real or Rhapsody which used to allow editing also? Maybe I can try WavePad again now that I am only looking to chop up the clip instead of editing it.
