He is still suffering from the mental trauma of not getting that GRA job.  And his business partner Ben cut loose from him.  Life had dealt him some cruel blows.  Could happen to any fool.

Godfrey Statia was a young inspector back in the 80s and made it to assistant commissioner. He left after the PPP won thinking they would never give him the top job.   He has deep PNC connection.  So he was getting that job regardless who his competitors were.
