What do I think of Russians going to Syria?

Remember the Russians got a peace deal between Americans and Syria that made Obama look amateur?

Obama didn't like it because after all this is not about getting rid of the bad guys but about encircling Russia.

Of course Obama doesn't want peace in Syria. He wants to cause chaos and give the entire Middle East to the Saudis to "manage" and turn the Syrians into JIHADIES against the Russians and rest of the world. This is where PUTIN ENTERS THE SCENE TO SAVE THE ONLY SURVIVING SECULAR GOVERNMENT INT HE MIDDLE EAST and prevent he total collapse of the Middle East.

This is what the BBC and CNN propaganda are not going to tell us: Why is America so kin of supporting medieval monarchies and religious lunatics and replacing the dictators they installed 2 generations ago?

Russia is clearly out to change Geo-political dynamics. They waited to get Iran out from under the Nuke threat and have ran out of patience with the indecisive and incompetent Obama administration.  Russia will use their power to bring as end to the Syrian conflict by kicking out ISIS and bring about an accommodation between Assad and the pro-Russian rebels fighting him.

They will then go into Iraq and use their influence with both Iran and the Sadaam loyalist to bring about accommodation there.  Remember, Sadaam loyalist were all pro-Russian at one time and it was the US/West who invaded.

The marauding ISIS terrorists will be pushed into Turkey, Egypt and Saudi to lick their wounds and turn their attention to those regimes.

Should Russia succeed, their stock will rise significantly in the world, especially in Europe and LATAM.  Obama "lead from behind" policy will leave the US in the back seat of world politics and the Russians are making the most of Obama's last lame-duck period.

Japan need to arm itself. It knows the US is no longer committed to its defense. It has all the tech needed to do it. Further, defense is where much of the world genuine research originates and where 99 percent of its technological break through occurs.

It was revealed last week that Russia was prepared to force Assad from stepping down within 6 months in 2012. But the US, UK, and France believed at the time that Assad was going to fall within weeks after the rebels received weapons from the US etc. That did not happen.

The US and the UK have been trying to topple Assad again of late. But the Russians are not prepared to let their military base fall into the hands of anyone. So they are prepared to fight anyone who is not with them in the fight against ISIS. The US was shouting at Russia about this earlier this week. But they have slowly been changing their tune as the days have gone by.

Russia is broke, needs cash and indeed want to be seen as having gravitas. Alas Putin is what we would be if we have Trump...a lout and a nincompoop with a big head and simply no other useful capacity to lead his nation into the future.

Nonsense.  Russia have rebuilt their military, flush with reserves and seem ready to project.  In their calculus, this is not another Afganistan. Here they have two formidable and reliable allies, Iran and Assad, who will do a lot of heavy lifting.  Remember, this is Assad's territory.
