It's confirmed! Guyana's Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Carl Greenidge and Jetblue's Vice President of Network Planning David Clarke will meet on Thursday, September 10, 2015 in Florida on the sidelines of the Current Caribbean Issues: The Diaspora Discussion Conference. The two will discuss the possible introduction of Jetblue Service to Guyana. Jetblue has an interest in the Guyana market and will be discussing this further with VP Greenidge.

Is there enough of a market to justify a daily FLL GEO route?

Guyana is purely VFR (friends and relatives) and that gets very seasonal.

These airlines ask for route support (either subsidy, revenue guarantee, or marketing support).  I wonder of Guyana is sophisticated enough to ask for this, especially of they are discussing the more speculative route out of Fort Lauderdale.

NYC is a strong route for Guyana.  Dynamic will simply disappear.
