In this position you will report to our QA Manager and play a vital role in the company’s ongoing development of reliability initiatives to manage inspection, revision, implementation, and maintenance procedures for the purpose of verifying quality in all stages of company operations where QA integrity is essential to safety, productivity, and profitability.

You'll be responsible for Reliability, have oversight for both new and established products and you work with QA personnel on a variety of daily assignments.

The QA Department regularly interfaces with other departments; you will be expected to generate reports and create presentations.

In fact, this is a “meaty” role with appropriate financial compensation and career path potential for the right individual.

The position will require you to have a disciplined project management type focus as it encompasses many aspects of manufacture – i.e., customer specifications/pilot product review with documentation of mock-ups, engineering drawings, coordination of design activity as it relates to system safety and maintainability, documentation of written work procedures, verbal instructions, test and inspection plans, inspection schedules, etc.

You'll work to define the necessary subsections of each project’s Reliability Program requirement for QA Department implementation (i.e. Safety Engineer, Professional Engineer) with supporting staff.

As you grow in this role you may assist in identifying the necessary staff by project or cross application and maintain throughout the life of the project to comply with requirements. You may also assign work to employees and consultants and train them in procedures and methods, review their work for adequacy and take steps to ensure adequate performance.

Basically, you can count on having significant involvement for all quality managerial functions (which will at times require travel).
