Joey Jagan lives in the shadow of his father, but he was never the golden son of his father's party and legacy. He returned to PPP in 2011 and lambasted Moses in public when Moses joined the AFC. Now he congratulates the PNC coalition and the people that made it happened. Moses is one of the five men from the dictatorship (AFC) that made it happened. The same man that Joey cuss down at a PPP rally.

Joey formed his own party against the PPP which shows he never believed in his own father's party. Joey mother and father went to jail during the PNC era and Joey never mention it. People cuss his father and mother that they were communist, and Joey never defended them.

What kind of a son he is? Joey could have been president of Guyana just like his mother and father. But he is like goat shit that goes where ever the wind takes him. Joey never hold the PNC accountable for the brutality on Indians people during the PNC era, but chose to embrace them. Well, he can take his dead ass party and become another neemakaram like Moses. They say you make you pickney, but you don't make them mind. Well, Joey is not the PPP and never will.

Could Joey Jagan be lying?

Dear Editor,
Permit me to respond to some remarks reportedly uttered by Dr. Joey Jagan at a PPP election rally at Port Mourant last Sunday, (“PPP/AFC trade verbal blows on the Corentyne,” KN, October 31).
In reference to an oft-repeated claim attributed to the AFC’s Mr. Moses Nagamootoo that the late Dr. Cheddi Jagan identified him more than once as a successor to lead the PPP should the founders pass on, Dr. Joey reportedly accused Mr. Nagamootoo of lying.

Dr. Joey further intimated that he was present when his father authorized his mother, the late Janet Jagan, to take over the reins of the party and, in effect, oversight of the government. In this context, he may be right, but the context in which Mr. Nagamootoo allegedly spoke was related to Dr. Jagan identifying him to others while traveling throughout Guyana.
