Yes, he passed away last evening from the SELF inflicted gun shot. He was arrested some 30 km from the house where his daughter was found dead, at the time he was driving his car in the town of Barrie, how did he shot himself then drove to Barrie,. Even at the time of his arrest the police did not notice any gun shot wound, it took then a while before they sent him to the hospital. Could it be he was shot by the police?

 Anyway the SOB is now dead. Riya, the little girl had over a thousand at her funeral and people donated over $300,000 to the family for expenses.

Did you see him kill the girl? There are 2 sides to every story; the Mother has the world believing her side. The police should check out her and her boyfriend who was abusing the girl. The girl probably spoke out and wanted to live with her Dad, then the Boyfriend plotted this and framed the Dad. At the funeral she had on lots of makeup and lipstick, which grieving Mom does that? She was not at the Candlelight Vigil. She got over $300k, that's a lot of dough.

TORONTO — A man accused of killing his daughter on her 11th birthday died in hospital on Wednesday evening, police said, noting that their investigation into the girl’s death is not over.

Roopesh Rajkumar had been hospitalized with what police described as a self-inflicted gunshot wound since shortly after his arrest.

His daughter, Riya Rajkumar, became the subject of an Amber Alert late Thursday night after her father allegedly indicated to her mother that he planned to hurt both the child and himself.

Shortly after the alert was sent out, Peel regional police knocked down the door to her father’s home in Brampton, Ont., and found Riya’s body.

Officers have not released her cause of death, and note that the homicide unit will continue its investigation.

Rajkumar was arrested by provincial police more than 100 kilometres away in Oro-Medonte, Ont., and was charged with first-degree murder.

Investigators have said that after Rajkumar was transferred into the custody of local police, they discovered he was injured and took him to hospital. The province’s police watchdog declined to investigate the circumstances leading to the gunshot wound.

The day Riya died — Valentine’s Day — was also her and her mother’s birthdays.

“She was so excited for her birthday, looking forward to having dinner later that evening,” Riya’s mother, Priya Ramdin, said in a statement Tuesday. “Never did I think that my daughter would not return back to me.”

Riya’s funeral was held earlier Wednesday.

Absolutely right. Always more than one side to a story. When Guyanese or West Indians involved, sometimes 4 or 5 sides. Sounds like you might have some inside information.

There ought to be a record - via text or phone call if the father indicated his intention to hurt the child.

Everything points to the father killing the child. Do you know how the child died? I have heard poisoning, strangulation and shooting so far. Mind you the police have yet to disclose cause of death. This chap was arrested 30 kilometers away from the crime scene. At the time of arrest the police did not notice a gunshot wound which eventually he supposedly died from? No blood?

Well, whoever killed that sweet child will definitely burn in hell.

The way I see it is that the father had no right in killing the child regardless of the circumstances. I agree on what you have been posting about the mother. Eventually, the truth will come out. Slowly but surely.

He should have provided information what he had regarding the mother and the mother's BF to the police if he and anything credible.

There is more to this sad and unfortunate event.

I think that gal related to  the man, she has very detail evidence. 

 To kill an innocent 11 year old, your own daughter, I don't care if the mother is a HO. He died too easy, hell and heaven is here. I wonder if Len will attend his funeral, she might be the only one.
