Kares Engineering Inc and RHTY&SC Teams distribute close to $1M worth of school bags

Hundreds of less fortunate students from schools drawn from across the ancient county of Berbice would benefit from free school bags project that is organised by the eight cricket teams of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS, with major support from Mr. Radesh Rameshwar of Kares Engineering Inc.
The Parika based businessman donated 500 school bags to the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club Patron’s Programme. The Club during the holidays would be sharing out a total of 800 school bags to assist less fortunate students to stay in school and complete their educational careers. The Ministry of Education Region 6 Department and the Community Relations Officer of the Guyana Police Force β€˜B’ Division would assist the club to distribute half of the school bags. The Ministry of Education received 160 school bags for distribution to children identified as less fortunate, while the Guyana Police Force β€˜B’ Division received 150 bags for residents living in crime affected areas. The remaining school bags would be distributed by the cricket teams of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS, based on the basis of the students’ personal discipline, attendance in school and family income. Long serving Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster stated that for the last twenty five years, the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club has been sharing out school bags as part of its Say Yes to Education Campaign and noted that over 12,000 students have benefitted over the years.
Foster stated that the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club was highly committed to making sure that every child in Berbice achieves his/her potential in the classroom and that poverty does not affect them. In 2010, Guyana Sports Personality Awardee hailed the massive contribution of Kares Engineering Inc and its CEO Radesh Rameshwar for the massive investment into Berbice and stated that the Club and its cricket teams are very grateful for the support. The Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club during the school holiday is currently hosting a five weeks educational camp for Grade 6 students, share out 13,000 exercise books and assist at least 200 students with footwear, publish a booklet on Climate Change and the Green Economy and assist schools with some sports equipment before school reopens in September. The Club would also be hosting its 2nd Annual Career and Business Fair for Berbice School Children on Thursday 14th September and would be holding several tournaments for schools – Spelling Bee, Art Drawing, Tapeball cricket and Essay during the month of September.
In an invited comment, Mr. Rameshwar stated that Kares Engineering Inc was delighted to be associated with the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, MS, and its effort to promote the importance of education. Education, the successful businessman stated, is the most important asset a human can acquire and Kares Engineering Inc would continue to invest in assisting youths. He expressed gratitude to the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club for allowing his Company the opportunity to be part of its list of activities. The Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club would also like to express gratitude to the Regional Education Office of Region 6 and the Police Commander of β€˜B’ Division for their support of the School bags Programme.
