The opposition has not set out to destroy the national economy. That again is stupid. The opposition's  objection to the PPP autocratic rule via silly slogans and via dunce messengers like you illustrates their their incapacity to argue away the facts.

Poor Nigel has apparently become the totem for their strategy of misdirection and obfuscation. But that again suffers the same weakness. It is only food for fools and while those like you feed their fill others know it for what it is.

There is no winning by corrupt practices or by stealing from a people. We are coming for the PPP's breakfast!

I really don't see what Kari said about the opposition that will make PPP soup lickers happy. If anything he claimed that the opposition has succumbed to the PPP (Corbin soup drinking, army/policemen becoming part of the mercenary apparatus used by the wealthy, and Nigel Hughes looking as corrupt as any PPP official).

I will add that the opposition has lacked imagination and creativity.  Its one thing to block the PPP, and in many instances they were right to do so.  Its another not to have creative ideas of their own, which they ought to be marketing to the people. 

Why politicians think that they ought to wait for the election cycle is baffling.  They ought to take a page out of those Caribbean leaders who fought colonialism...(Jagan/Burnham.Eric Williams/Norman Manley, and others) who held forums for the people, educating them about what was wrong, and promulgating solutions for which they needed their support.

So what do we have hear. Rice farmers are appealing for help, and even approached Granger.  This even in light of the extreme destruction that the PNC under Burnham DELIBERATELY committed against the rice industry in the 70s  (much like the PPP against bauxite, and until recently gold until they figured out how involved their cronies are in that industry).

Will APNU be smart enough to sit down with the rice farmers, and develop a plan which they will take to parliament?  Look how silly the PPP will look then.  If there is an industry which is deserving of support, its the rice industry.  Interesting, being active with this group will insulate ANU against accusations of being anti Indian as they develop solutions for Guysuco.

Similarly is APNU being creative about developing solutions for Linden, and G/twn, its two largest bases of support?  I don't see any evidence that they are.

There are people who are looking for a way to support APNU, as the AFC has lost its moral high ground, thanks to Nigel, and will definitely never be anything other than a place where protest votes go.  But APNU needs to show that they deserve it.  I haven't seen any sign that they do.
