With this being August month the unseasonal rainy weather continues to wreak havoc with outdoor sporting activities in Guyana, as such a number of sporting organisations are making use of the time to do other things, such as replenishing their stocks and holding indoor activities and developmental sessions. One such organisation is the Kendall’s Union Cricket Club (KUCC), which is a part of the Kendall Union Sport Club (KUSC) of East Coast Berbice (No19 Village). The club, which is one of the top second division clubs in Berbice, has been on the receiving end recently from both present and former members who are resident both at home and overseas. The club recently received a set of cricket gear from two families who were and still are associated with the club. The Ramdass family of overseas who were former members made a sizable donation of a number of cricket gear and other equipment to the club. Former all-rounder Aaron Baker who is also overseas did the honours on behalf of his family. Among the donations received are cricket bats, pads, batting and wicketkeeping gloves, guards and a quantity of balls and a gear bag. The Club’s President and team Captain, Mr. Albert Budhoo in brief remarks, expressed special thanks to both the Ramdass family and Baker and his family for remembering the club and their continue assistance and support.
