(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Aug 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah received Sunday Ambassador of Guyana to Kuwait, Dr. Shamir Ally on occasion of ending his tenure.
Sheikh Dr. Ahmad commended contributions of Ally in promoting bilateral relations.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Foreign Minister for the Minister's office Saleh Al-Loughani. (end)

âThe Government of Guyana has received the agreement of the Government of Kuwait for His Excellency Mohamed Ali Odeen Ishmael, CCH, to be appointed as resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guyana to the State of Kuwait,â said the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.
Ishmael was in Guyana up to Tuesday. The Foreign Ministry said he is expected to take up his appointment in Kuwait shortly. Ambassador Ishmael served in Washington from June 1993 to October, 2003 and was appointed as Ambassador to Venezuela in November, 2003 where he is currently serving.

Does Guyana really need an ambassador in Kuwait? I hope they are looking for aid and not borrowing more money. Guyana is up to her neck with debts. Time for the PPP to put the shoulders to the wheel again and do what the did before. Never allow the PNC in power again. The people are only minding the ministers and their cronies.

Odeen was sent there because Jagdeo wanted him far away.

the GOD JAGDOE banished Odeen there because Odeen outshone him in Washington,DC.MANY felt Odeen was much more qualified than this GOD to be GuyanaPresident
