Leonora estate land undeveloped after Ed Ahmad acquisition

November 3, 2013 · By Staff Writer

A large plot of land at Leonora remains unoccupied and undeveloped following its purchase from the Guyana Sugar Corporation (GuySuCo) by Guyanese-born real estate fraudster Edul Ahmad under the name of one of his companies.

Documents from the High Court seen by this newspaper confirmed that Edul Ahmad and Shareef Ahmad are the registered owners of South American Woods Inc, the same entity that purchased land at Block ‘R’ Leonora in 2011.

"STATE LAND WHICH SOLD TO PRIVATE INVESTORS'. BRASSINGTON SAID, "STATE LAND SOLD TO ED AHMAD ARE BOUND BY CERTAIN COMMITMENTS TO ENSURE GROWTH AND INDUSTRY, HOWEVER HE TURN BACK AND SAID THE BUYERS ARE NOT BOUND BY SUCH COMMITMENTS AND ARE "FREE" TO INVEST AS THEY SEE FIT".

BRASSINGTON SAYING ONE THING AND MEANING SOMETHING ELSE, THINKING ALL GUYANESE ARE IGNORANT, DENSE AND STUPID TO BELIEVED WHAT HE IS SAYING ABOUT FOREIGN SOME CAN GET AS MUCH AS THEY LIKE TO BUY AND SOME LIVING AT PLASTIC CITY AND ELSE WHERE CAN'T GET EVEN ONE HOUSE LOT TO BUY. SOMETHING REALLY WRONG WITH THIS PPP THINKING POWER.          GIVING AWAY STATE LAND AND THEN HAVE TO PAY A RENT TO PARK THEIR OWN CAR.
