Granger asked the Diaspora in N.Y. to contribute their brains, which means your (talents, skills, technical and educational experience, etc.,) to help contribute towards the development of Guyana. It is believed that Guyana still maintained a population of 750,000 strong, and it is believed that the same amount scattered around the world with the largest percentage living in ABC countries. This question has been asked by former President Jagan, Jagdeo, Ramotar, and now Granger. From 1992 to 2017 is 25 years.

The political grassroots generation is getting older and pushing retirement age. Second and third generation of Guyanese born in the Diaspora doesn't give a damn, or care to know who Granger is or what his needs are.

Who are the spring chickens among us to rush to Granger's plea for help?

Requests from Cheddi Jagan 1957-1964, Forbes Burnham 1964-1985, Desmond Hoyte 1985-1992, etc., etc., etc., to now David Granger.

Individuals returned and most returned overseas because of unacceptable conditions.

I didn't go back that far since I am not familiar with those eras of politics. In the 80's, I was still in Guyana attending school, chewing cane and blowing whistles. I only picked up on politics from Jagan time in 1992.

Thank for that bit of info.

BTW, D_G since I have you on board, would you go back and help with your expertise if you're asked? I know you and I have discussed this topic before of retiring in Guyana. Anything change?

All my dreams have been shattered of going back to retire. I wouldn't know how to fit in, to begin with. Who would be my friends and neighbours? Guyanese would look at me like a criminal deportee. Mee nah go back ah Guyana no moo, rass.

Fair enough. They why are most overseas Guyanese still engaged in Guyana's politics ?

Our children know nothing about Guyana and could care less.

Yes, I will.

Briefly ...

With conditions settled, regardless of the group in government, I will lend expertise in hydroelectric power and water resources development.

No financial or other support/assistance needed from the government ... all expences will be my responsibility.

D_G is way past his sell by date. We need vibrant young people in Guyana with modern ideas.
