The shutdown through last Sunday was meticulously planned to send a powerful, NON-VIOLENT, message to the Gov't.

The people fully intended to resume business life in the town on Monday, July 23 - losing only 3 full business days.

That we are where we are TODAY is a direct consequence of PPP Arrogance and Brutality.

They open deadly fire on free citizens for no good reason . . . THEN accuse those whose blood have been spilled of "bullyism"!

Perhaps you can tell us why the PPP is not asking GPL to cut it's waste and be more effecient like Bosai and lower its rates to match. My guess is that the PPP cronies will  not get to siphon off the cream by renting generators at exorbitant costs. Bosai will not pull out when it's able to laugh all the way to bank even with the current low rate.

I wonder why the PPP did not do this in October 2011 when they were the majority?

The people of Linden, the Sugar workers at Albion, Blairmont, etc realize that they now have a voice thru the AFC.

You might be the last man holding the AFC flag.  BOSAI is a commercial mining ops who supplies electricity as a convenient by-product while GPL's only product is electricity.  If GPL has such large unaccount electricity usage, how come Lindeners out use the rest of GPL customers 4 to 1.  This also makes no sense and makes your assertion weak.

Everyone knows that pnc/afc elements are bullies. There is no sight more intimidating than freedom fighters rioting, burning and raping under the guise of protest, whether in Guyana or the rest of the world.

The PNC/AFC are well aware of this and will sabotage development in Guyana and destroy the nation just so they can achieve power through undemocratic means.

Now that you've had the opportunity to get in some hate speech field practice, do you have anything useful to say . . . ON TOPIC??

GPL does NOT supply Linden with electricity so the usage rates by Lindeners is not relevant.

What you have not been able to prove is that BOSAI receives payment from the govt to provide electricity.  Given that BOSAI is NOT losing money by providing electricity, and it appears it is NOT being subsidized by the govt, why are you all grudging Lindeners what they must pay.

If ONE part of Guyana has cheaper access to electricity than other areas that to me will suggest that this area ought to be marketed as a location for energy intensive activities, thus providing additional opportunities for Linden, beyond bauxite.

But you would rather help the govt hide its inefficient.  Now we have Digicel which can offer Guyanese cheaper rate sfor foreign calls and the govt doesnt allow them to provide it.
