That's an old documentary, currently is there Little India in Guyana ??
When the late Shri Prakash Gossai was the spiritual leader at the OP, I accompanied and photograph/video recorded him at Cove and John and other events in Vancouver BC and Guyana.
I believe the Mandirs were more vibrant at that time, but with the new government, Indian religion and culture seems to take a back seat.
I recognize Liberty cinema in that clip the showed the entrance to house and balcony on the east side is where yo would be for pit 25 cents in my days. Today that space is empty. There was another name for that cinema before, can anyone name it?

Somewhere in #77 village, there is a "Little Africa and a Little India". The areas was once a sugar cane field. A few years ago, my cousin who is now the mayor of Corriverton took me on a tour. The region did not have maintained roads or electricity.
I read somewhere that EBD/Alexander village area was all cane field at one time before I was hatched into this world. Anyone's else has recollection of this piece of history?
