MMA Chairman Gajraj loses his Mercedes
Two Mercedes Benz for the use of the General Manager of the Mahaica/Mahaicony/Abary-Agricultural Development Authority, Rudolph Gajraj have been confiscated amid reports they were being driven by family members.
One of the Mercedes, an M-Class SUV, is now parked at the Ministry of Agriculture (see photo above) while the other is at a National Drainage and Irrigation Authority Workshop at Lusignan. A third vehicle has yet to be located. It is not clear if the vehicles are registered in his name or to the authority. Gajraj is related to Ronald Gajraj the former Minister of Home Affairs who was relieved of his duties for his connections to the phantom squad that carried out extra judicial killings back in 2002/2003.
Yesterday NewsSource reported that two officials of the Ministry of Public Service had been fired for trying to transfer six vehicles to a former government minister and associates.
