There will be scheduled downtime for all Hoop.la sites tomorrow, July 18th, sometime between 1 PM and 3 PM eastern time. Total downtime will vary per site, but your site should not experience more than 30 minutes of downtime during this maintenance window.

During the maintenance time, we will be upgrading Hoop.la and adding a bunch of new features, most of which are focused on the member profile area. We'll be posting complete details about the release on our corporate blog after we finish the update.

If they are into upgrading advise them we need post count and time and date stamps not to mention better search capabilities. This thing is even worse than our first forum in that respect. And UBB allowed one to customize and augment functionality by scripting. This forum tiresome and clearly lacking in functionality in many ways. Its democratizing of the membership is also a disincentive to posting and that is clearly indicated by the loss of membership on the site. People like to see the time stamp of when they joined, their post count and get their contribution acknowledged.

Hoop.la does have a user post count. It is available via the user div (by clicking on the gingerbread man next to a user's name). With the release tomorrow, the activity points for a user will be more front and center in the user profile, and we'll even rank users within the community based on activity/influence.

The user div popup and user profile pages show the registration date of each user.

Hi Amral, what is this, could you not upgrade between 1am and 3am. Now, don't cuss me out, I know this site is free. You know we Guyanese, we like freeness and we like choosing our conditions.
