Hamza Eastman rode a strategic race to emerge winner of the feature 35-lap school boys and invitational when the annual Banks DIH Malta Supreme 11-Race Programme at the National Park came off yesterday.

The Team Coco’s rider, who disclosed that the race was not at all difficult for him, clocked a time of One Hour 21 Minutes sprinting home comfortably ahead of Paul DeNobrega, Jamal John, Raul Leal, Briton John and Silvio Inniss in that order.
Such was his dominance of the race that Eastman also won seven of the eight sprint prizes on offer, the other went to Jamal John.
Taking the juvenile 10-lap contest was Team Evolution’s Nigel Duguid who clocked 23 Minutes 59.53 Seconds; he was trailed to the line by Marcus Keiler and Briton John.
Ryan Canterbury won the mountain bike 5-lap event from Sherwayne Forde. Sean Green was the top veteran Under-50 on show, he crossed the finish line in the 5-lap duel ahead of Keith Fernandes and Lear Nunes in 11 Minutes 02.30 Seconds.
Jonathan Ramsuchit took the 12-14 boys and girls 3-lap race in 8 Minutes 25.15 Seconds, while the BMX Boys 6-9 years 2-lap race saw Jared Barrington taking the first place. Yesterday’s event was organised by Hassan Mohamed.
