Man responsible for Norwegian massacre in 2011 that killed 77 people gets accepted to University of Oslo
Far-right Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik has won a place at a university in the European country.
Breivik, who killed 77 people on a politically motivated murderous rampage in 2011, will study political science at the University of Oslo, reports the BBC.
He will have no contact with staff or students and will study from his cell.
Breivik, 36, was sentenced to 21 years in jail for carrying out Norway's worst massacre since World War II.
His sentence can be extended if it is considered that he remains a danger to society.
He bombed central Oslo then went on a deadly rampage at a Labour Party youth camp being held on Utoeya Island.
Breivik said he was acting against a Marxist-Islamic takeover of Europe.
Inmates in Norway have a right to pursue higher education.
The university has students whose family members were killed by Breivik, reports the BBC
