Warriors train gathers speed as it heads for the USA
Massy Industries under their Crix Biscuit brand on Friday became the latest co-sponsor of the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the 2017 Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) when they jumped on board the sponsorship train, which is gathering speed at it approaches Florida for the Warriorsβ first game on August 5 against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. The launching was done at Massyβs Ruimveldt location and Bermudezβs Manager Alvin Wilson handed over a symbolic cheque to seal the deal to Warriorsβ Operations Manager Omar Khan. βWe are proud sponsors of the Amazon Warriors and Crix is firm on giving back to the Guyanese public by offering various prizes and tickets. We encourage the Guyanese public to come out and support the team. This partnership seeks to give back to the fans,β Wilson stated. βThis agreement is timely and jells with the managementβs idea of reaching out to fans,β said Trinidadian Khan. βWe embrace the opportunity and we thank them for coming on board. We are happy to be here to support their effort and hope the Guyanese public does likewise,β the Manager added. Massyβs Marketing Supervisor Elisa Howard explained how the public can get involved and informed that coupons can be uplifted at several of the leading supermarkets. Persons seeking to enter into the draw have three options. They can purchase two packs of Crix or four packs of Mini Crix or one pack of Crix and two packs of Mini Crix. They will then have to uplift and fill out a coupon from the cashier and enter into Crix entry boxes at selected outlets to win Tickets and other prizes. Under the tagline βwin tickets for Cricket with Crixβ, the promotion will conclude with a drawing on August 12. Participating outlets in Georgetown are: Bounty Chain of Supermarkets, S &S Chain, Massy Stores and Ramβs Supermarket. Berbice: Jayβs Supermarket, M. Alli Supermarket and Gas Station, Price is right and Goodlife. Essequibo: Iman Bacchus Supermarket, Safeway Supermarket #1, B. Jones Supermarket and G&P Jaigobin Supermarket. (Sean Devers)
