I sent them an email saying that the rates need to be up.

I was referring to the 2nd part time job. Approaching retirement, a person like yourself who took on pnc propaganda appointment must have needed the extra income. If not then you are a bigger fool than I thought, doing pnc bidding for free. 

But on a serious note, djangy should help chiefy out by applying for this job even in his old age. It is never too late to learn.
