MY COMMENTS ON - "BRUTAL TRUTH" - a website on Guyana.

BRUTAL TRUTH - I agree fully with your COMMENTS in the paragraph below.

"We all have suffered. We believe that former president Jagdeo was a corrupt man who cavorted with drug dealers; who was complicit in the death of 400 young mostly Afro-Guyanese and who stole from the taxpayer treasury in order to secure a vast store of wealth for himself and we will not rest until he returns his stolen bounty to the Guyanese treasury and pays for his nefarious activities".

I want you to note that I have been a fierce critic of the Burnham Dictatorship and the Jagdeo-Ramotar regimes. In the case of Burnham - one cannot dismiss him and his role in our country's history, as we can do in the case of Jagdeo and the current leadership of the PPP. Jagdeo MUST be put on TRIAL and all those who associated with him.

We all see history from our own standpoint and experience. I agree that people tell their own story to make themselves look good. I guess that is a natural human thing.

I have my own story to tell - of my own experience in the struggles for a better society - where one can be proud of being Guyanese. My contribution to our history will be judged by posterity, who will further our cause for EQUALITY, FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE.

BRUTAL TRUTH - can play a role - if the people who are behind it - make themselves known. TRUTH - must be OPEN, FRANK AND HONEST. Our people lack serious leadership. Everyone seek to blame the other person for our downfall. It is time that we LEAD by example. Those who live away from Guyana seem to make the greatest criticisms of our LEADERSHIP in Guyana. We must give up :"the good life abroad" and get into the heat in Guyana - where the struggle really is.

We have been thoroughly let down by many key organisations and prominent individuals, like Hamilton Green and others that have been mentioned on this site. The Trade Union leadership has been a TOTAL failure and the farmers organisation. The youths, workers and farmers need to change the leadership of these organsation - if we are going to move our country in the right direction.

Bhai, u know when u does go in Kawall Drug Store in Jargetown and look up the wall u does see a quotation from Ghandi that says "To make an allegation is one thing. To prove it it's another". These same words can applied to the complainers of today who heap accusations on the man who helped lift Guyana out of the abyss the APNU people sunk us in. The thirst and hunger for political power have led many to make allegations of unproportional scale that are false and absurd.

Why don't you tell the GNI audience that Jagdeo bought the Empire State Building. They will believe you.

Leadership begins from the ground up. If the people who feel cheated continue to support the status quo then woe unto them. Everyone in Guyana tows their party line and none possess the gall to challenge their leaders. Now thats the Brutal Truth everything else is sheer bullsh1t.

Now, there was only one honest politician in Guyana and the future looks pretty grim in terms of finding another one like him.

Lets pray. Prayers is Guyana's only hope now.
