Mike’s Wellman, Regal Masters and All Stars and HS Masters registered victories when the Mike’s Pharmacy, Trophy Stall and Nauth Motor Spares 20-over softball competition continued on Sunday last. At DCC, Wellman overcame Amazon Warriors by 84 runs. Wellman took first strike and posted 219-4. Lloyd Ruplall stroked 99 while Greg De Franca slammed 70. Amazon Warriors were bowled out for 135 in 17 overs in reply. Raghunandan Narine made 35; Wayne Jones had 3-14. HS Masters defeated Ariel Masters by 34 runs. HS Masters batted first and scored 187-8. Rawl Reid scored 54, while Danny Mohanram made 31 as Khemraj Dindyal claimed 3-29. Ariel Masters responded with 153-6. Mohamed Rafeek got 32 and Rudy Mayers 24. Michael Ifill captured 2-24. Regal All Stars beat Success by nine wickets. Success took first turn at the crease and were sent packing for 78 with Sachin Singh picking up 5-18. Regal All Stars made 90-1 in eight overs in reply. Singh made 38 and Marvin Bobb 31 not out. At Hydronie, East Bank Essequibo, Regal Masters beat Parika Defenders by 35 runs. Regal Masters batted first and posted 136-5 with Mahase Chunilall scoring 63, David Harper 26 and Eric Thomas 16. Parika Defenders were bowled out for 101 in response. Kabesh Persaud made 24; Mohendra Arjune claimed 3-12, Parsram Persaud claimed 2-16 and Motilall Chumandath 2-30. The competition continues tomorrow. At DCC on pitch one at 10:00hrs, Ariel Masters will play Floodlights, at 13:00hrs Wellwoman will face Trophy Stall Angels and at 15:00hrs Blue Divas will challenge Trophy Stall Angels. On pitch two at 10:00hrs Regal Allstars will play Farm and at 13:00hrs Enterprise Legends will face Regal Masters.
